Always Know Who You Are and Whose You Are

We’ve had two services today, and they were both amazing. I spent time with family and had lunch with them, so it's just been a very, very blessed day. While meditating on the day, some thoughts came to mind. I would like to share with you concerning understanding who we are and whose we are. You know when we accepted Jesus as our savior it not only changed our spiritual condition but it also changed our spiritual position. We were no longer Sinners (condition), and we were raised up to be co-seated with Christ in heaven (position):

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love that he had for us, made us alive with Christ even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! He also raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:4-6, CSB)

You notice He seated us—not will seat us or sometime in the sweet by-and-by. We rose with Christ in spirit and were seated with Christ in Heavenly places at the moment of our conversion.

What we've gained from his crucifixion and his willingness to be the sacrificial lamb on our behalf gave us all the power and authority we need to understand we don't have to be afraid, stressed, or worried about anything. I know at times it is hard not to be when trials do come, but remember—we have an advocator and a vindicator. He provides for us, takes care of us, and we are never alone.

From our position seated with Christ, we have the authority to move mountains. That is why it's important for us to understand who we are and whose we are.

We are not victims, we are victors and we are victors together. Just as Christ is there for us, we must be there for each other. Spend time interceding, in fellowship, and edifying the body of Christ. It is also our assignment to be there for the world. Sharing the gospel as Christ did, pouring out His love, and leading the lost to Him.

We are saved, delivered, and removed from our former condition to our new position co-seated with Christ. Take dominion from there as we were created to do—rise and rule!
